RHYTHM & CELLO
ORCHESTRA/ STRING QUARTET
I am a cellist for the British School Manila Orchestra. After 2 years of quarantine, I confess that I truly miss taking part in our lively school traditions. The BSM orchestra is very active in performing in all major school events and have take part bi-weekly in the senior/whole school assemblies.
A fun smaller group is our String Quartet/Ensemble.
In this video, we welcome guests for the Christmas Programme with some jolly Christmas carols.
BAND NAME HERE
Extended quarantine has also stalled our band's jamming sessions. I'm the cellist for Band Name Here and our group always has alot of fun merging classical and rock, with our instruments and renditions. In this video we perform our take on Bruno Mars' 'Grenade' during the International Evening Festival 2019.
CELLO
I've been playing the cello since i was in Year 5. It has been a transition for me from piano to the cello. When I first tried to join the orchestra in early primary school, the music coordinator had a pianist from senior school (and there was only one slot for pianists), and she told me she was really looking for a cellist. And so I decided to learn it.
My passion for this vibrant string instrument has grown since, Through persistent practice, I have grown to understand and control the towering baritone produced by this grand instrument. As I continue my practice, I hope to get more conditioned in playing both classic and modern genres with my cello.
CELLO RECITALS
As a cellist, I've obtained a distinction in the ABRSM Grade 6 exam and passed the Suzuki book 3 exam. Along with these examinations, I've also held numerous recitals, helping spread my love for music and sound with my community. I hope to continue developing my skills as a cellist and share my passion with even wider audiences.

PIANO
While I have spent my recent years mainly invested in learning to play the cello, I continue playing the piano for relaxation and social enjoyment.
A beautiful melody creates a light mood expanding to its surroundings. I love playing classics and sometimes challenge myself with more fast paced modern songs. A recent one was "Inferno" by Mrs. Green Apple, and was happy to be able to play it after a week.
Pianos live in different places. I've played in the London subway station while in transit, in museums with fun designs like those where you need to jump on their keys, and most often in people's homes. Here I share two videos, one inthe Tokyo Yamaha store (hanging on a wall as an art piece) and in Sapporo at an intimate sushi restaurant, after a full day of skiin on the slopes.
